Role Description The General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of preventive and restorative treatments. Daily responsibilities include performing procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, crowns, and basic prosthodontics, while ensuring strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols. The role involves educating patients on oral hygiene, discussing treatment options, obtaining informed consent, and maintaining accurate, detailed clinical records. The General Dentist will collaborate with dental assistants and other team members to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive clinic experience. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chandpur.
Qualifications
- Recognized Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree and valid registration/license with the appropriate dental council in India.
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of general dentistry procedures (restorative, endodontic, and basic prosthodontic care).
- Knowledge of infection control, sterilization protocols, and adherence to current clinical and safety guidelines.
- Effective communication and patient counseling skills, with the ability to explain treatment options in a clear, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a clinic team, manage time efficiently, and handle a steady patient load with attention to quality and detail.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and continuous professional development through courses, workshops, or conferences.
- Prior experience in a clinical dental setting is preferred; newly qualified dentists with strong clinical training may also be considered.
- Comfort using basic dental software or willingness to learn digital record-keeping and practice management tools.
